Girlfriend, right now you're running on Dutch Bros and a random protein bar you found in your purse, working 2-3 weddings per weekend, DoorDashing Panera at 5:47pm for the fam, only to refresh your Venmo to see you barely made enough over those three days to cover rent. 

 

I was there:

I looked at our tax return and was shocked that I only made $15K, even though I worked consistent triple header weekends the year before.

 

I was CONSTANTLY doing what I thought were the right things:

 

❌ spending hours on the computer each week, manually sending each client's invoice, proposal, and contract, scheduling appointments, and sending reminders.

❌ posting 3x/week on social media, but spending an hour or more on a single piece of content. I would give up and scroll randomly in my phone for a photo to post, chatGPT some generic fluffy caption, and hope it lands with my audience.

❌ working triple-header wedding weekends, living off of a smoothie and a prayer, only to slide in to Monday morning exhausted with no energy left in the tank.

 

I was driven: I had big financial goals, but I was exhausted, and despite doing what I thought were the "right things", my income barely budged. I figured, if I doubled down and did MORE, I could make more.

 

But, my “more” was in all the wrong places: 

💋 I tried upping my makeup skills with trainings, thinking that better skills = a higher rate.

👯‍♀️ I started networking, and collaborating with other professionals in our area, but that only landed me a job or two. 

📝 I added more text/email templates to my notes, in hopes it would make life easier, and I'd be able to spend more time with my family, phone free.

I raised my rates slightly, only to receive from brides, "You're out of my budget" over and over again. 

 

I was on a merry-go-round, and I was getting motion sick.

 

I just wanted OFF.

My options were:

1️⃣ Quit

2️⃣ Hire someone to help me figure it out.

 

What I really wanted felt simple: to have the blueprint to scale, and get my time back.

I was tired of 

❌ hours on the computers, and constant back-and-forth emails/text messages with brides.

❌ feeling like I had to choose between family night, or my brides. 

❌ the constant mental load of clients, schedules, social media, and emails: what should I be posting? what should I say? how can I meet my income goal? how will I get more brides? 

 

For me, my dream business looked like this:

🥹 I wanted to be able to put down my phone and close my laptop, but also support my clients.

🥹 I wanted to feel valued, with my rates. I felt like I was working SO hard, and was starting to resent my clients. But, I didn’t know how to raise rates without constantly hearing "You're out of my budget".

🥹 I wanted an easy plug-and-play system for social media, to call in the right type of client, and give them the information they need, while hitting all the necessary talking points: no more guessing what to post, hoping it sticks.

 

I was scared to invest: "What if I invest this money and I completely bellyflop?"

But, the fear of failure was quieter than my desire to scale.

 

I bit the bullet and hired a business coach (the deposit alone made me want to throw up - so much money!), who showed me that I had a systems problem.

 

Within just a few months of implementing a fit-for-me system

 

✨ I had an ease & peace with my business: the mental load of juggling clients' schedules, emails, and text messages I no longer weighed me down. I could put my phone down, knowing my clients were getting the information they needed. 

✨ I increased my rates, and within a period of a year, my rates tripled. I worked one wedding per weekend, and 3x’d my income. Monday morning waffles with homeschool became our new routine, instead of sliding out of bed and microwaving instant oatmeal, only to crash on the couch five minutes later.

✨ I had a plug-and-play system for social media: one that hit all the necessary talking points, but didn’t leave me staring at my screen for an hour, just to create one piece of content.

✨ I had an ease & peace about my business: a back office system that worked FOR me, while I got to unplug.
